Summer camp for school-aged children, with games, projects and time outside.
Explore Summer CampWe respect children as individuals. The first five years are a time of growth and learning that sets a foundation for what comes next. Our teachers follow the Creative Curriculum, which covers four areas of development: social and emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. We plan hands-on learning and investigation in art, music, math, science, reading, and writing.
Rooms are set up for the children who use them. Infants have low shelves and soft spaces to move. Older children find tables for small-group work, shelves holding art and building materials, and a place for books. The day has a shape: hellos and breakfast, play and projects, lunch, rest, and time outside when the weather allows.
A visitor notices children choosing their own work and teachers sitting at their level, watching and asking questions. Each child has a primary teacher who observes and plans for that child. Since our humble beginnings as a small family-owned business, we have grown into a familiar part of the community, and we treat families and staff like family.

Late afternoon is calm: books, puzzles, and easy play while children wait for pickup. A parent signs out at the door, and a teacher shares a detail or two. If you have a question, ask at pickup or call the office.

At pickup, a teacher tells you how the day went and what your child worked on. Notes go home daily. If you have a question about eating, rest, or behavior, ask your child's teacher or the office. We want you to know what is happening each day.
The Gingerbread House has been a family-run business since the 1990s, and some families have sent every child here from infancy. New children are placed with a primary teacher who watches and plans for them. That teacher also writes the daily notes you take home, so you hear the same voice each day.
Call or email the center. Tell us your child's age and the days you need, and we will talk through what is available.
Come see the classroom your child would join. Meet the teachers who run it and watch the room in action.
Once your enrollment paperwork is complete, the center helps you plan a first week that fits your child's routine. You and the teachers agree on drop-off times, meals, and rest so the transition is steady.
Center Hours 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.
For a first day, pack a change of clothes, diapers if your child needs them, and a comfort item from home. Label everything with your child's name. Lunch and snacks are provided, but you can ask what to bring if your child has specific needs.
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us and we will tell you what is available for the days you need.
If your child's age group is full, you can ask us to call you when a place opens. Just let us know the days you are looking for.
